How we work.

Our 'push pins' — a shorthand for our logo, visually demonstrating '&then'

&then was founded in 2016 on a simple structural idea: senior expertise on every project, and teams scaled precisely to the work. No layers, no hand-offs to the B-team after the pitch, no overhead you're paying for but never see. The people who develop your strategy are the people who design your system.

It's a model built from years inside larger corporate and agency environments — and built deliberately to fix what's slow and diluted about them. For our clients, it means annual reports, brand systems, and campaigns delivered with big-agency polish and small-studio accountability.

Proof.

Our work carries some weight behind it. We've built brand identities and visitor communications for Pursuit — the North American attractions operator behind the Banff Gondola, Columbia Icefield Adventure, and Golden Skybridge. We've partnered with the University of Calgary across ten faculties and units, from the Haskayne School of Business to the Faculty of Law, over years of continuous engagement.

We've designed alongside DIALOG, one of Canada's leading multidisciplinary design firms, and delivered corporate and investor communications — annual reports, stakeholder materials, and investment presentations — for organizations across Canada and the United States.

Agency & in-house partnerships.

We also work behind other logos. Agencies and in-house teams bring us in when a brand challenge outgrows their bandwidth or their brief — quietly, seamlessly, and with full credit to whoever needs it. If that's you, we're easy to work with and easier to explain to your client.
